Process
Materials and Software Used: Procreate, Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop, Pencils, Watercolors, Watercolor Paper
Thumbnails
Received a reference photo and made a few small thumbnail iterations using watercolors, background included.
I used Procreate and Adobe Lightroom to adjust the variations of the colors and sent them off to Sam for him to choose his favorite before we got started on the original work.

Revisions
Sam chose his favorite of the edited thumbnail interations and I started to add more details based on what he wanted, which was to make it seem like his skull and face were merged into one through some transparency effect.
Final Draft
I made the “geometrical” sun in the background using Procreate and placed it behind Sam’s head to create more of a focal point.
